This web page guide is to help you decide what you may like to include in your web site to help determine the number of web pages you may need. As always, Geaux Web Designs is here if you have any questions or need help deciding. The pages below are what your web site visitors will most often expect to find. Read on to find some useful tips for determining the size of your web site.

Home Page
This is
the page which the users will typically see first.
Contact Us Page
Self-explanatory but worth mentioning. You need to give your users a
way to contact you.
Feedback Form
It can be
very beneficial to make your users feel a part of your site growth.
This can be accomplished by providing them with the opportunity to
give their comments and feedback.
Product &
Service Pages
Showcase
your products and services. If you have several products or
services, we will need to divide them up into categories. Let's say
you sell 'gift items'. On your Products page for example, we will
list all of your product categories; computer, electronics, music,
jewelry, items for children, etc. From that page, you will click on
a category that will take you to a web page listing all of your
items in that category with photos, description & ordering
capabilities. You may also need one web page for each product and/or
service.
Company Page
Most web site visitors like to learn more about the company they are
thinking about doing business with. It helps to show them that you
are an actual company and exist outside of Cyberspace. Showcase your
company, share an interesting story on how you were established or
add a message from the owner/president.
Staff
Page
Again, web site
visitors like to see the people behind the web site. Add your staff
photos, position, contact information and maybe even add something
fun like a mini-bio or favorite quote.
Site Map
A
site map serves two essential functions: To act as a road-map of
your web site to help users who get lost & to act as a single page
from which the search engines can "spider" all of your other
web-pages. An essential page!
Privacy Statement
A
statement that reflects how much you value your visitors' privacy.
You may believe that many may not read it but they sure notice when
it isn't there; it assures your web site visitors that you will not
sell or give away their contact or ordering information.
Search
Provide a search facility for your web site visitors. Nice to have
perhaps but certainly not essential, unless your site is very large.
Directions/Map
Helpful if you are in a hard-to-find
location or just want to provide convenient directions to your place
of business.
